first encounter: beef and ruth
Sunday, September 19, 2010, 11:07 AM
Ruth is now 10 years old and a little more experienced in how to control her powers. In the back of the house, she’s doing laundry her two brothers ordered her to do. Suddenly, she hears a voice. “…Diavangeus…it’s…time” It’s really faint, but she could still hear it. Where is it coming from? She shakes her head and continues washing the clothes. “…heeyyy…hey…” It’s getting louder. “GET ME OUT OF HERE!” Ruth blinks at the voice yelling at her. Thinking a danger is near, she takes her sword. She had kept it with her ever since she received it from the First. Her brothers would sometimes try to take it away, but she’d be able to stop them. Getting ready to charge and attack, she feels her power being slowly drowned away. The sword…it’s charging by itself? Feeling weak, Ruth immediately lets go of the sword and falls on her knees. It was glowing so bright Ruth was unable to look at it. She looks away and closes her eyes tight. When the bright light seemed to have stopped, she turns her head back and freezes. There was a gigantic, vicious, dark creature looking at her with sharp, cold eyes. Ruth panicked. Not moving, she moves her eyes to the ground and looks for her sword. ….Where is it? Did this creature break it? She was scared. What is she gonna do? Will she die right here, right now? Suddenly the huge creature jumps on her. Shocked, she tries to move but she was to scarred to. “DID YOU SUMMON ME?” The voice of this creature sounded so violent, and angry, Ruth’s eyes water and she starts crying. The creature growls and uses its paws to shake her. “ANSWER ME NOW. DID YOU SUMMON ME?” Ruth didn’t want to answer. She didn’t even know what was going on. Nervously, she shakes her head. Big mistake. The creature threw a tantrum and roared so loud that a few of the windows nearby broke. Ruth cries louder and creates a barrier around herself. “I…I’M SORRYYYY!” She cries. The creature looks back at her and jumps on the barrier. It tries scratching and biting it. Then there was a crack. What? Is it breaking? Just how strong is this thing? Ruth holds back her tears and brings her hands out, trying to strengthen the barrier. It’s not working. The creature continues to jump on it with its powerful claws. And then, the barrier disappears. The creature’s claws slam down onto both of Ruth’s hands and scratch them both. Ruth feels sudden warmth run up her spine and then a long streak of pain runs down her arms. She couldn’t lift a finger. The back of her hands stung like mad and so she starts crying again, even louder this time. The creature stares in amazement as the wounds that he caused on her arms slowly started to heal! He takes a closer look and watches as the flesh come back together and finally closing up. Ruth stops crying and looks at the back of her hands. They’re still bleeding, but the cut was not as deep. Did it heal? The creature backs away as a shadow approaches behind Ruth. She looks up. It’s him again. It’s the First! He kneels down and clasps both of Ruth’s hands into his, closes his eyes, and chants a spell. Ruth felt lighter as The First finished up. Her hands had stopped bleeding! She looks up. That creature. It’s…bowing it’s head towards The First. Could it be?
“Bealzelus Jeulion.” He speaks in a demanding tone. The creature looks up and slowly moves toward The First. Ruth sat there, watching. He puts his hand on his head and the creature closes its eyes. There was a sudden flash of light, the same light that came out when the sword was glowing, and then, out came a cute little dark creature with big yellow eyes. The little creature looked at Ruth. “Why didn’t ya tell me you summoned me?” It puckered it’s face. Cute. Ruth giggled and The First smiled. Ah, that warm smile of his. Then, in an instant, he disappears once again. “Hello! My name is Bealzelus Jeulion!” The little creature adjusts the jewel around his neck with his small little paws. He looks at Ruth’s hands, looking at the permanent scars he had accidentally given to her. “I’m really sorry about those scars you have, to make it up to you, I’ll protect you with my life!” He bows down to her. Ruth, still a bit confused, nods and says “ ‘Kaaayyy~…….Um, Beef Jerky right…? Did you come out of that sword I had?” She asks. And so from that day on Bealzelus only allows Ruth to call her Beef/ beef J/ beef jerky. =v= |
